Quality childcare is achieved through dedication and a well-trained staff. At Annie's Ark, Inc. Child Development Associate (CDA) credentialing is a large part of staff training.

CDA credentialing is a nationally recognized program where the candidate proves through observation (by parents, advisors, and area CDA representatives), written proofs of the thirteen functional areas, and an assessment meeting with team members that she/he is competent and knowledgeable in caring for young children.

A CDA credential proves the staff member's ability to meet the specific needs of children and conduct oneself in an ethical manner. The thirteen functional areas that are addressed are:

3. Learning Environment 9. Social
4. Physical 10. Guidance
5. Cognitive 11. Families
6. Communication 12. Program Management
13. Professionalism
